White trilliums - also known as Toadshade (for its resemblance to a toad-sized umbrella), Wakerobin (for its appearance with the first robins), and Birthroot (for its medicinal uses during childbirth).
 
Painted from images gathered while on a hike in Delaware County PA, along Ridley Creek, that week in April when the trilliums fill the spaces in between the trees and brush.
